Ultrasound Therapy

Ultrasound is a therapeutic modality that has been used since the 1940's. Ultrasound is a method of stimulating the tissue beneath the skin's surface using high frequency sound waves.

Ultrasound is applied using a round headed wand that is put in direct contact with the patient's skin. Ultrasound gel is used on the surface of the head to reduce friction and to assist in the transmission of ultrasonic waves.

The depth of penetration from ultrasound is different whether the underlying tissue is muscle, fat, tendon or bone. On average, ultrasound can penetrade 1.5 inches in muscle and 6.0 inches in fat.

The sound waves that pass through the skin cause deep heating.

Ultrasound speeds up the healing process and decreases pain.

There are many reasons to use ultrasound including:

Sprains

Strains

Tendonitis

Plantar Fasciitis

Bursitis

Osteoarthritis

Scar Tissue Adhesions

Impingement

Heel spurs

Neuromas

And many many more!

Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) is used to stimulate a theraputic effect on the body. When applied to tissue electric currents create thermal, physiologic, and chemical responses. The currents also alter pain impulses.

EMS can help reduce pain by relaxing tight muscles. When used in combination with your chiropractic adjustments EMS helps your muscles relax, in turn making your adjustments easier to perform and your body able to hold them longer. EMS also helps reduce edema, swelling in your body's tissues.

During an EMS treatment pads are applied to your skin in which the electrical currents are transmitted. Treatment time, the area treated, and the number of pads applied differ depending on the condition being treated and the desired effect.

Rapid Release

Chances are your problem, lack of flexibility or range of motion could be caused by scar tissue adhesions. Scar tissue occurs naturally in the body as a temporary patching mechanism for wounds caused by injury, surgery, trauma or repetitive stress. When it spreads and connects tissue not normally connected, it can entrap nerves, limit your range of motion creating stress and tension.

Rapid Release is the only therapy of its kind that targets these restrictive adhesions through resonant frequencies, just like the opera singers voice can shatter a glass.

Fast, noticeable results can be achieved in as little as 2-3 minutes. Rapid release used high-speed vibration to penetrate deep into tissue targeting these adhesions releasing tension and tightness. Done in conjunction with your adustments enables you as the patient to get more benefits and longer lasting results with your care. oice can shatter a glass.

Cold Laser Therapy

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) or Cold Laser has been used worldwide for over 40 years to relieve pain, remove scars, regenerate nerves and treat many illnesses and injuries.

Cold Laser Therapy works at the cellular level. Human cells produce a chemical known as ATP to run the body and heal tissue. ATP is like gasoline to a car - it runs every body function. Colder Laser Therapy stimulates a micro-structure within the cells called mitochondria, these structures then produce more ATP. With more ATP at the cell level tissues heal faster and relief comes faster.

You may be wondering "Can cold laser help me?". Well, there is a very long list of injuries and conditions that are treatable with this therapy including:

Sprains

Strains

Fractures

Dermatitis

Migraines

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Parkinson's

Multiple Sclerosis

Plus much much more!

Percussor Pic_edited.jpg

Percussive Therapy

Percussive therapy is a gentle treatment approach for muscle and ligament problems and related myofascial conditions.

The percussor is a hand-held instrument that distributes waves of percussive impulses deep into the tissues of the body which promotes an increase in lymphatic flow and circulation. Percussion also can be used to decrease muscle spasm, release joints, and to loosen up fixated areas without using heavy forces.

Percussive therapy can significantly reduce chronic pain and enhance the healing process. Excessive tightening of muscles or even areas with scar tissue can cause overall stiffening of the muscles resulting in pain. Both of these conditions can be alleviated through percussor therapy. They work by breaking up scar tissue and adhesions in the body's fascia which cause restricted motion and pain.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields) is a revolutionary wellness procedure that utilizes soothing Pulsed Electromagnetic Fields to stimulate and exercise the body's cells. The magnetic fields help you to increase electrolytes and ions. This naturally influences electrical changes on a cellular level and guides cellular metabolism. PEMF is trusted worldwide to support the body's natural healing and regulating abilities.
This technology uses pulsed electromagnetic fields to fill low energy cells with pure, raw energy. This enhances the cells' ability to uptake oxygen and nutrients, and helps to eliminate toxins and wastes. Each cell in your body is actually a capacitor, or battery, which holds a charge. Your entire body is electrical, and your cells each need a measurable electrical charge to function optimally. In order to maintain good wellness, cells must be doing their jobs!
